Retouching. When placing an order, for each image I will do the following:

• crop and center the image to the person/people to fit properly
• adjust the exposure if it is too dark or too bright
• color correct if necessary
• adjust sharpness/reduce image noise

Additionally, I can try to remove distractions (contestant numbers, exit signs on the wall, yawning judges in the back, etc) and do other edits on request. I am not a professional graphic artist, so I cannot perform miracles, but I can handle certain types of edit without any problem and will generally do simple edits free of charge.

Below are a couple of samples where you can see how the original images were dull and not as close as they could be, but the edited ones turned out much better. I even wiped out the exit sign on the back wall in one of them. You would be amazed at how many dance competition pictures constantly have bright exit signs in the back!
